Well due to Rampage and his bitchy nagging, here goes

    1. What was the last thing you cooked?
Toast with vegemite for breakfast tasty little fuckers... mmm :)

    2. What was the last thing you tried on?
My new shoes, they fit great.

    3. What was the last thing you purchased on credit?
Did I mention that I got new shoes, on credit?

    4. What was the last thing you put a postage stamp on?
An envelope. Probably something I sent to my oma from Berlin for Christmas. It was probably some crappy postcard I got from Mauer markt

    5. What was the last thing you took a photo of?
Hey guess what... I got new shoes, never would have guessed anyway.

  • New Shoes

Despite Rampages attempt to put down my accomplishment today, I will blog about my new shoes (do I sound like a girl yet?) Anyway ladies don't get too excited as they are running shoes. I have a problem with my feet, like 96% of the worlds population that my foot rolls when I walk / run. 95% of people roll their foot inwards (pronation), 4% don't roll their feet (neutral), then there is the 1% like me that roll the buggers outwards (supernation.) Needless to say most of the shoes made are for people that pronate. Have a look at your runners and see if they have a darker area of material on the instep of the back half of your shoe. That is support to stop people from rolling their feet inwards. I require the support on the other side but only 3 running shoes are made for that purpose. The Brooks glycerine (the ones I brought, Asics Gel Nimbus and something from Misuro (crap shoes.) I got my new pair today (for 220 bucks) and an so excited. Very hard to find but worth it... like I am running (walking or stumbling) on air.

  • Toilet roll issue

Well as you may or may not know (or care) I have been very sick for the past 2 weeks. And as such I have had ample opportunity to examine the toilet roll issue in depth (lets leave it at that). I have come to the conclusion that PAPER OVER is the way to have it.

    Paper Over

    There are two reasons

    1. It looks prettier and you can make two fold in the end of it to make it look like a point.. very pretty

    2. Simple answer. 1 handed operation. Grab a length with your hand that the roll is on and you can easily push down on the top of it and tear it away. Leaving the other hand free to hold the medication that is trying to stop the reason that I spent so much time on the dunny.

Thats it discussion is over. Use it my way or use a newspaper :)

  • Time to waste

OK Berlinlights fan (notice singular there) I should be packing my bags to work out how much extra I will have to pay when I take my flight in 3 days but as usual I can't be bothered. I have decided to post some things due to the consistent nagging of Rampage, so here goes.

  • Sick

Sorry for not writing for a while as I have been very sick.

    Hospital

I will write about my adventures in Darwin soon.

  • World Cup Qualifier

The Australian football team (Soccerroos - we can't really call them the Footballroos can we?) Tore the ass out of Qatar last night in Melbourne. Perhaps the new coach can take us past those diving bastards of Italy next time in the World Cup. Mind you, Qatar are not exactly a footballing powerhouse I know, but the Aussie team did well considering they had 1 training session together and the European players only arrived 24-48 hours before the game (10 out of 11 players on the starting side are European players) Timmy Cahill was the outstanding player for the Socceroos and deserved his goal and perhaps a few more. The Qatar keeper did an outstanding job keeping the score what is was, at times it looked like he was the only one on their team to have a heart beat. Next game is against China who drew with Iraq last night 1-1. On the 26th March I expect to be writing a similar report, just replacing Qatar with China. Final score Australia 3 Qatar 0

  • Toilet Paper Etiquette

We have all answered the fold or scrunch toilet paper question (I prefer fold because I am worried about toilet paper cuts in that sensitive area.) But there is another question that I have been forever wondering about. Paper over or under on the holder?

    This is paper over
    Paper Over

    This is paper under
    Paper under

So which way does it go? Most people know about the Coriois effect in which water flows down a drain in the northern and southern hemispheres differently (classic episode of the Simpsons where they go to Australia and Bart nearly get a "Booting".) So that being the case does the way that your toilet paper sits on the holder matter as wo whether you are north or south of the equator? I need answers people!!!
